Applications & Uses
Food & Beverage
Used as a firming agent in canned vegetables, a coagulant in tofu production, a preservative in pickles, and a post-harvest treatment for apples to maintain fruit firmness.
Construction
Acts as an accelerator in concrete mixes, reducing setting time. Also used in mortar, ready-mix concrete, and as an antifreeze agent in cold-weather concreting.
Road & Dust Control
Applied to unpaved roads and surfaces to suppress dust, control ice formation, and maintain surface stability in mines, quarries, and industrial sites.
Refrigeration & Cooling
Used as a brine solution in refrigeration systems and ice rinks. Calcium chloride brine has a much lower freezing point than water, making it ideal for low-temperature applications.
Oil & Gas
Used as a completion fluid and drilling fluid in oil and gas wells to control formation pressure and stabilise borehole walls.
