What is Sodium Polyacrylate?
Sodium Polyacrylate is the sodium salt of polyacrylic acid, available in two distinct forms depending on the degree of cross-linking. The cross-linked, high molecular weight form is the Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) widely used in hygiene products, capable of absorbing hundreds of times its weight in water. The linear, lower molecular weight form is uncross-linked and is widely used in detergents, water treatment, and as a thickening and dispersing agent in numerous industrial formulations.

Diapers & Hygiene Products (SAP form)
Cross-linked Sodium Polyacrylate forms the absorbent core of disposable diapers, adult incontinence products, and feminine hygiene products, providing exceptional liquid absorption and retention even under pressure.
Detergent Builders (Linear form)
Linear Sodium Polyacrylate is used as a co-builder and dispersant in laundry and dishwashing detergents, helping prevent calcium and magnesium scale deposition and improving cleaning performance.
Water Treatment
Used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in cooling water and boiler water treatment systems, preventing the formation of mineral scale on heat exchanger surfaces and improving system efficiency.
